FESTIVAL OF CULTURES
The first undertaking – Festival of Cultures, as a part of the Project “Culture and Tourism as driving forces of the town development – Głogów for four seasons ", took place on 27th and 28th May 2006. The concert of stars aroused great interest.
On the first day the performance of Kombii band was watched by over 10 thousand people. On the second day the concerts of Zakopower and IRA bands were watched by an audience of 7 thousand people. A lot of people from the whole Lower Silesia, neighbouring provinces and abroad arrived in Głogów.
The project was possible to carry out due to its wide promotion, among others, a TV commercial on TVP 3 Wrocław channel, regional pages of The Wrocławska newspaper, local pages of the Lubuska newspaper, in a regional magazine of a German partner town from Eisenhüttenstadt.
Furthermore, the local radio broadcasting stations: Radio Elka Głogów and Radio Plus Głogów as well as posters, street banners and visual advertisements on buses of the Public Transport (Komunikacja Miejska) and Polish Motor Transport (PKS) informed about the Festival of Cultures.
