GŁOGÓW - attractive investment areas in superior locations

Location and description:

Głogów, with a population of 67.299, is a medium – size town located in the west of Poland, in province of Lower Silesia. It is strategically located on the Odra River with easy access to a transshipment port and a railway junction with connections to Leszno, Wrocław, Legnica, Zielona Góra and Żagań.
The E-59 international road from Szczecin through Wrocław to the south of Europe as well as the No 3 and 12 national roads /leading to the state borders/ are in close vicinity.
The distance from Głogów to the A4 and A2 motorway is 70 and 100 km respectively. The major agglomerations with international airports such as Wrocław and Poznań are located within a radius of 120 km.

They are conveniently located close to the national road No. 12 /2km/ a transshipment port /900 m/ and a railway siding. The areas are electrified and electric energy is supplied by the existing transformer stations of 110 and 20 kV - GPZ Brzostów /Wierzbowa Street/ with 2x25 MVA transformers. The construction of access roads to the site as well as of the lighting system has been partly financed by the European Union /PHARE SSG 2003 programme/ Plots are entirely developed and fitted out with sewage and water-supply systems as well as sanitary and rain drain systems. The West Industrial District is perfect for industrial plants, storehouses and warehouses as well as for service centers. The area is a part of Legnica Special Economic Zone. The authorities of Głogów offer new investors support and a good business climate. The town authorities and the staff at the Town Hall offer comprehensive assistance to all investors.

Głogów Investment Zone is located on the western border of the town, between the regional road no. 292 and the Oder. It is planned to construct a second river crossing in its vicinity, this will further increase the attractiveness of the area.

The basic functions for which the area can be developed: production, storing and services. Total area of available plots amounts to ca. 66.4 ha. The conceptual design assumes the following division of the area:
• 1 plot 18.75 ha
• 4 plots from 4 to 10 ha
• 15 plots below 4 ha

For many years the authorities of Głogów have been undertaking actions aimed at raising the settlement and investment attractiveness of the town. The reconstruction of the old town centre and its historic monuments made it a visually attractive heart of the town. The next step is to revitalize the Oder banks.
