After nearly a year and a half of negotiations, an agreement regarding the modernization of railway line No. 14 in the section Głogów - Leszno has been signed. 15/11/2018 in Poznań together with the Mayor of Wschowa and the Director of the Investment Implementation Center at PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. signatures have been made under the contract

The agreement assumes the following goals:

     enabling the passage of a passenger train in the relation between Głogów and Leszno within 55 minutes
     adaptation of passenger infrastructure to the needs of passengers,
     commissioning of a minimum of 6 passenger trains in the new timetable 2019/2020.

The investment cost is PLN 17 million, of which PLN 500 thousand will be financed by the Wschowa Commune, and PLN 2.5 million for the Głogów Municipality. The renovation works are to be completed in September 2019.
